Smith College has a reputation for staunchly feminist activism, rigorous academics, and a close-knit campus in which lifelong bonds are forged. What is to be made of the Smith College combined ED I and II acceptance rate over the last two-ish decades? Well, if you were to ignore the most recent cohort for which we have acceptance rate data (the Class of 2028), we wouldn’t blame you for failing to see much of a trend. But with the Class of 2028 taken into consideration, which set a record-low for ED acceptance rate at 32.58%, everything goes up in the air.

Could the Class of 2029 data and the Class of 2030 data (whenever they arrive) suggest even more heightened competition at Smith in recent years, or was the Class of 2028 merely a fluke? Only time will tell.
