Haverford Class of 2030 Early Decision Admission Statistics
Haverford College is an academically rigorous liberal arts college for students seeking a close-knit college community with a lively social scene. With rising popularity among high school seniors, it’s no surprise that Haverford has become more selective in recent years. So how did applicants to the Class of 2030 go about navigating what may have been the most competitive admission cycle on record?
One thing is for certain: applicants who really and truly know that Haverford is where they’re meant to spend the next four years of their lives should apply via Early Decision I or Early Decision II to really show Haverford admissions officers that they mean business. But don’t take our word for it. Take it from the data: the overall acceptance rate for Haverford’s Class of 2028 was a slim 12.37%, whereas the combined ED I and II acceptance rate was 33.12%, reflecting an increase in admissions likelihood of over 100%.
And why do ED applicants experience such a boost? Because they’ve made the wise move of demonstrating their interest in attending and contractually binding themselves to attend if admitted. Admissions officers at schools like Haverford prize these types of applicants because they are typically quite knowledgeable about the resources and opportunities available on campus and help drive up the yield rate, or the proportion of admitted students who end up enrolling.

Breakdown of the Haverford Class of 2030 Early Decision Applicants
Unfortunately, Haverford College hasn’t released all that much information about the Class of 2030 Early Decision admits in particular. Nor do we have much info on the Class of 2029, either. We don’t know what proportion of ‘29 as a whole is composed of ED applicants, nor the acceptance rate. We do know, however, that the overall yield rate for the Class of 2029 stood at 45%, thanks to the Class Profile. In Ivy Coach’s humble (but always well-informed!) speculation, the main contributor to this relatively robust yield rate was the ED applicants.
