Case Western Reserve University understands the institutional benefits of maintaining robust Early admission programs, so much so that it conducts at least three rounds each year before Regular Decision rolls around: Early Action, Early Decision I, and Early Decision II. How do the students who apply to this private research university during one of these rounds fare? 

The data is a bit of a patchwork (or a mine field, if you will). The most recent cohort we have Early Decision data for is the Class of 2028, in which 804 students applied for Early admission, and 298, or 37.06%, were accepted. For Early Action, the most recently publicized acceptance rate was 23.43% for the Class of 2027. 

Clearly, Case Western could use a healthy dose of statistical transparency regarding these Early admit statistics. As we await figures for the Class of 2029 in preparation for the forthcoming 2025-2026 admissions cycle, let’s review what we do know about how this private research university operates its three Early admit programs.
