Babson College is the business college of many entrepreneurial students’ dreams. And as any future business person should know all too well, colleges are businesses that have a bottom line to serve. So, is it any surprise that Babson is highly selective in its admissions process? Or that students applying to one of three Babson Early admissions programs (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, and Early Action) are at a total advantage over those who wait until the Regular Decision round? These students are like good investments: they drive up the yield rate by enrolling, they are highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Babson’s resources and opportunities, and they hit the ground running once on campus by taking advantage of everything the school has to offer.

Even still, getting into Babson, even in one of the Early rounds, is no walk in the park. The combined ED I and ED II acceptance rate for the Class of 2028, for example, was a meager 27.50% (significantly higher than the overall acceptance rate for that cycle, 17.09%), but still quite competitive. While we await data for the Class of 2029 and the Class of 2030, let’s review Babson’s Early-round acceptance rates to help prospective Beavers develop a clearer picture of the odds they were up against for the recent Class of 2030.odds they’re up against for the forthcoming Class of 2030.

To put the Class of 2028 admissions figures into perspective, here are the Early Decision acceptance rates over the last three admissions cycles for which Babson has reported statistics, as well as the one cohort (the Class of 2027) for which Babson reported the Early Action acceptance rate. Note that before the Class of 2027, Babson did not have an Early Action program.

Unfortunately, Babson admissions officers haven’t been all that forthcoming about the details of the ED admits to the Class of 2030.
