The University of California, Davis doesn’t exactly conduct admission cycles as much as it collects census data, as the sheer number of students who vie for admission to this public research university each year is the size of a small town! UC Davis Class of 2030 in Historical Perspective

Even though the University of California, Davis does not maintain a robust archive of Common Data Sets from which we can pull admissions data, we can still interpret data from four recent admission cycles. And the trendline across these years is clear: UC Davis is growing more popular each year, as more and more students apply and fewer and fewer get in. During this window, an average of 100,866 students applied and 42,142 were admitted, resulting in an average acceptance rate of 36.75%. The 2025-2026 cycle set a new record for first-year admission: a whopping 104,850 students.

UC Davis leadership has opted to keep any and all information on the incoming Class of 2030 close to the vest this year, so there’s not much we can dissect relating to their demographic breakdown, including the geographic, academic, socioeconomic, or racial profile of new Aggies.
