Davidson Class of 2030 Statistics in Historical Perspective

The data in the chart above were drawn from the Davidson Common Data Sets, which are annual reports sent to the federal government and are chock-full of the juicy admissions statistics we’re all here to unpack. However, Davidson’s archive of CDS reports does not stretch as far back as at other schools, so we only have the last four admission cycles to go off of as we await the Class of 2030 data.

Over the last four years, an average of 7,718 students applied to join Davidson each year, with the Class of 2029 setting the record for most applicants in a single cycle (8,933). During this window, an average of 1,094 students (14.35%) were admitted. The record for the most competitive admission cycle once again goes to the Class of 2029, with 12.62% admitted. Taken as a whole, this data suggests that Davidson’s admissions process has been trending towards more competition each year, meaning the Class of 2030 could prove to be the most selective on record. Davidson College hasn’t yet published any demographic data on the Class of 2030. But for those patiently awaiting the details on this year’s geographic, socioeconomic, racial, and academic breakdown of this year’s Wildcats, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. In all likelihood, unless Davidson officials release an eleventh-hour press release on the admits, this data will come out with the publication of the 2026-2027 Common Data Set.
