Boston University Class of 2030 Statistics in Historical Perspective

Are you seeing what we’re seeing? We sure hope so! The trend line couldn’t be clearer: Boston University has risen in the rankings to become a highly selective school over the past twenty-odd years, as evidenced by its publicly-reported admissions statistics. While the most recent Class of 2029 did not set a record for most applicants or lowest acceptance rate, one need not travel very far back to see that the Class of 2027 had the most applicants in BU’s history, at 80,796, while the Class of 2028 saw the lowest acceptance rate, at 10.85%.

The Class of 2030 data, when it eventually arrives with the publication of the Class of 2026-2027 Common Data Set, will certainly show an acceptance rate below the 15% mark and an applicant pool of over 75,000 students, but it remains to be seen whether these figures will set any new records.
