2020 US News Liberal Arts College Rankings

Williams College has repeated as the grand prize winner of the annual US News & World Report college ranking of “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges.” In fact, just like last year, Amherst College has claimed the runner-up prize, while Swarthmore College and Wellesley College have taken the bronze. Pomona College finished in fifth, while Bowdoin College took sixth. A three-way tie between Carleton College, Claremont McKenna College, and Middlebury College came in next at seventh. Washington & Lee University rounds out the top ten.
Colby College, Haverford College, and Smith College finished at 11th, while Grinnell College, Hamilton College, and Vassar College claimed 14th. Colgate University, Davidson College, the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis), and Wesleyan University finished at 17th. Bates College and the United States Military Academy (West Point) finished at 21st. Harvey Mudd College and the University of Richmond finished at 23rd. Barnard College and Macalester College round out the top 25.
