2011 US News Law Schools Ranking

US News & World Report has released its list of top law schools for 2011. The top four slots remained exactly the same as in 2010 with Yale Law School taking top billing followed by Harvard Law School, Stanford Law School, and Columbia Law School. The University of Chicago Law School climbed to #5 this year followed by the New York University School of Law, which slipped from #5 to #6. There were no real significant climbs or drops at the top of the law school rankings this year. Just out of the top 10 were the Duke University School of Law, the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Cornell Law School, and Georgetown University Law Center. The number of Supreme Court Justices hailing from each institution is not a factor in the US News & World Report rankings. We think that it should be. Do our readers agree?

1. Yale Law School
2. Harvard Law School
