Dartmouth College, celebrating its 250th year of existence, has released the results of the Early Decision round for the Class of 2024. In all, 2,069 students applied under Dartmouth’s binding Early Decision policy. Of these students, 526 students (in addition to 21 students admitted through QuestBridge) earned admission to the College on the Hill. The 2,069 tally marks the third largest Early Decision pool in Dartmouth’s history and this year marks the third year in a row the Ivy League institution has received over 2,000 ED applications. It’s anticipated that these 547 applicants in total will comprise 47% of the Dartmouth Class of 2024.

Breakdown of the Dartmouth Class of 2024 Early Decision Admits

As Dartmouth’s Office of Communications reports in a press release about the admitted students to Dartmouth’s Class of 2024, “The accepted students come from 47 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and 28 other countries, with California and China the most represented in the U.S. and international cohorts, respectively. The group also includes record percentages of public high school students (54%), first-generation students (15%), foreign citizens (12%), and students of color (35%). The children of Dartmouth alumni represent 15% of the accepted students and recruited athletes make up 25% of the group…The group’s key academic indicators are all in record territory, either matching or exceeding prior records, with more than 20% of the early decision students expected to graduate as valedictorian or salutatorian of their class, and 95% of those students reporting class rank among the top 10% of their senior class. The mean SAT score is 1481 and ACT composite is 33.”

And after Ivy Coach’s 13 year streak of perfection at Dartmouth — with every Ivy Coach student who applied Early Decision to Dartmouth over the last 13 years earning admission — was snapped last year with a lone student who didn’t get in, Ivy Coach went perfect again. Every single Ivy Coach student who worked with us on their applications and applied Early Decision to Dartmouth’s Class of 2024 got in. So while our 13 year streak may have ended last year, we are now perfect in 14 of the last 15 years. Go Big Green. Indeed.
