2021-2022 Ivy League Basketball Standings

Princeton and Yale currently sit atop the Ivy League men’s basketball standings.

The further a university advances in the men’s NCAA basketball tournament, the more applications that institution tends to receive the subsequent year. Applicants to Duke University should thus never be rooting for the Blue Devils in March Madness the spring before they submit applications. With this in mind, and as the Ivy League has one automatic bid to March Madness, we figured we’d check in on the Ivy League men’s basketball standings for the 2021-2022 season. Which school sits atop the standings?

That would be Princeton University, with a 19-5 overall record and 9-2 record in Ivy League play. Yale also sits atop the Ivy League, with a 15-10 overall record and an identical 9-2 record against the Ivies. University of Pennsylvania sits in third, with a 12-13 overall record and 9-3 record in Ivy League play. Next comes Harvard University, whose coach Tommy Amaker was spurned by Coach K for the Duke head coaching job, with a 13-10 record and 5-6 Ivy League record. Cornell University sits at 13-10 overall and 5-7 in Ivy League play. Dartmouth College is 7-15 overall and 4-7 within the Ivies. Brown University is 12-15 overall and 4-8 in Ivy League play. And Columbia University trails all the Ivies with a 4-20 overall record, 1-11 in Ivy League play mark.

Will Princeton or Yale claim the Ivy League’s automatic bid to March Madness? Or will UPenn sneak in? Let us know your thoughts on the 2021-2022 Ivy League men’s basketball standings by posting a comment below. We look forward to hearing from you!
