Yale University Class of 2024 Admissions Statistics

Yale University has released all decisions for the Class of 2024.

Yale University has released Regular Decision notifications for the Class of 2024. In all, between Early Action and Regular Decision, Yale received 35,220 applications to the Class of 2024. This figure compares to 36,843 for the Class of 2023, 35,306 for the Class of 2022, and 32,900 for the Class of 2021. So while it was no record year at the Yale admissions office, the numbers surely shouldn’t concern admissions officers at the Ivy League institution. Of the 35,220 applicants to Yale’s Class of 2024, 2,304 earned admission (including 796 students in the Early Action round along with 87 QuestBridge students — from an applicant pool of 5,777). So what is the breakdown of the admitted students to Yale’s latest incoming class, you ask?

Breakdown of Admits to Yale’s Class of 2024

As Karen Peart reports for Yale News in a piece entitled “Yale College admits 2,304 students; fourth year of expanded class size,” “Jeremiah Quinlan, dean of undergraduate admissions and financial aid, reported that students admitted to the Yale College Class of 2024 represent all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and 72 countries, and will graduate from more than 1,500 secondary schools around the world. They expressed interest in majoring in more than 75 of Yale’s academic programs.”

We Anticipate Yale Will Take More Students from Waitlist This Year Than in Years Past

Congratulations to all students who earned admission to Yale University’s Class of 2024! And if you happened to be waitlisted, fill out our free consult form today and indicate waitlist at the bottom so we can help you make the strongest case possible for admission off that list. We do anticipate that elite universities, including Yale, will go deeper into their waitlists this year in light of all the uncertainty surrounding matriculation this fall — particularly with respect to international applicants. If those students can’t come to the United States, we anticipate that waitlisted students will end up filling their slots.
