2019 Ivy League Football Title Up for Grabs

As we approach the fifth week of in-conference play, Dartmouth College and Princeton University, both undefeated at 4-0 within the Ivy League and at 7-0 overall, will face off this coming Saturday. And where will the two undefeated teams face off? At Yankee Stadium no less — to commemorate not only the 250th anniversary of the founding of Dartmouth College but the 150th anniversary of the first college football game, a game in which two Ivy League schools faced off. Last year, Princeton and Dartmouth also faced off with undefeated records. And it was Princeton that pulled off the 14-9 victory to claim the 2018 Ivy League title, with Dartmouth finishing in second. But will Dartmouth be able to avenge its loss of last year?

Our Forecast of 2019 Ivy League Football Play Is Spot On So Far

As our loyal readers know, we’ve got a crystal ball at Ivy Coach. That crystal ball predicted at the end of last season that Dartmouth would win the 2019 Ivy League crown. That same crystal ball made a prediction just a few weeks ago that Cornell University — then winless in Ivy League play — would pull off a couple of wins before the season wrapped up. Cornell has since defeated Brown, 37-35 no less.

Princeton and Dartmouth Undefeated, While Brown Winless

At present within the conference, behind the undefeated 4-0 Princeton and Dartmouth sits Yale University at 3-1 (and 6-1 overall). Then comes Harvard University at 2-2 within the Ivy League and 4-3 overall. University of Pennsylvania (3-4 overall), Cornell University (2-5 overall), and Columbia University (2-5 overall) all sit at 1-3 with Ivy League play. Brown University is in last place at 0-4 in league play and 1-6 overall.
