“The Time Has Come, The Time Is Now. Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Go Now?”

We’re not sure why we have Dartmouth’s Dr. Seuss in our heads on this 2017 Ivy League Regular Decision notification day. Some folks in the college admissions community refer to today as D-Day, but that’s absurd and, frankly, sacrilegious to us. D-Day was on June 6, 1944 when our brave Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy with ‘the eyes of the world upon them.’ We find it’s important to keep things in perspective as so many high school students learn of their admissions decisions today at Ivy League colleges.

Brown University announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Columbia University announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Cornell University announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Dartmouth College announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Harvard University announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Princeton University announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

University of Pennsylvania announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Yale University announces today at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Good luck to the thousands of students who will learn of their decisions today! In fact, we’ll leave you with a Dr. Seuss quote. Naturally. “When you think things are bad, when you feel sour and blue, when you start to get mad…you should do what I do…Just tell yourself, Duckie, you’re really quite lucky! Some people are much more, oh, ever so much more…oh, muchly much-much more unlucky than you!”
