Yale University Class of 2026 Early Action Statistics
Yale University marks the latest clean sweep of an Ivy League institution for Ivy Coach’s Early Action applicants to the Class of 2026. Just like at Dartmouth College and just like at Columbia University, every one of Ivy Coach’s Early Action applicants to Yale University’s Class of 2026 have earned admission and we’re so very happy for them! In all, 7,288 students (though the figure has also been reported as 7,313 applicants) applied EA to Yale’s Class of 2026. Of these students, 837 earned admission. This marks an Early Action acceptance rate for the Class of 2026 of 10.9%.
To put these figures for the Early Action pool of Yale’s Class of 2026 in historical perspective, 7,939 students applied EA to Yale’s Class of 2025 for an EA admission rate of 10.5% (both all-time records). For the Class of 2024, 5,777 students applied EA and the admission rate stood at 13.8%. For the Class of 2023, 6,016 students applied EA and the admission rate stood at 13.2%. For the Class of 2022, 5,733 students applied EA and the admission rate stood at 14.7%. For the Class of 2021, 5,086 students applied EA and the admission rate stood at 17.1%. In each of the years prior to the Class of 2021, the number of Early Action applicants to Yale never hit 5,000 and the admission rate never exceeded 6,000 students.
