Wesleyan University has two rounds of Early Decision but the statistics for Early Decision I are in and we’ve got them for our readers. In all, over 700 students applied Early Decision I to Wesleyan University. Of these students, 279 students have earned admission. It marked the second time in the university’s history that over 700 students submitted applications during the Early Decision I cycle. The university intends to admit a little over half of its incoming Class of 2022 through its two round of Early Decision with the remainder of the class to be filled with Regular Decision admits.

Wesleyan University Class of 2022 Early Decision I Admits

As reports “Wesleying,” This round of ED1 ranks just below last year’s record in terms of selectivity. Half of the 718 applicants also applied for financial aid, and 10% of the pool are the first in their family to attend a four-year college. 29% of those who applied ED1 are students of color, and 7% of the pool are international students. Among the group of international students, most attend schools outside of the US, but a few of these students attend schools in the states. Students planning to apply to Wesleyan through Early Decision 2 or Regular Decision can expect decisions around February 10th and the last week in March, respectively.”

Other Colleges with Early Decision II

While there are many schools that offer two rounds of Early Decision, there aren’t a whole lot of selective or highly selective colleges like Wesleyan that offer two rounds. Some of these institutions include American University, Bates College, Boston University, Bowdoin College, Brandeis University, Bryn Mawr College, Claremont McKenna College, Colby College, Colgate University, Connecticut College, Davidson College, Emory University, George Washington University, Harvey Mudd College, Middlebury College, New York University, Smith College, Swarthmore University, Tufts University, Vanderbilt University, Wake Forest University, and Wellesley College.

Congratulations to those students who earned admission to Wesleyan this Early Decision I cycle!
