Trinity College has released decisions for its Early Decision II round for the Class of 2024, wrapping up its Early Decision process this year. In all, between the Early Decision I and Early Decision II rounds, 314 students earned admission to the Hartford, Connecticut-based institution. These students will join 16 students admitted last year who deferred their enrollment for a year but will be joining Trinity’s Class of 2024. Indeed for the Trinity Class of 2024, Early Decision applications and offers of admission were up year over year. So what is the breakdown of Trinity’s admits to its Class of 2024, you ask? Breakdown of Trinity College Class of 2024 Early Decision Admits
As Trinity College reports in a press release about its admitted students to the Class of 2024, “Among this year’s admitted ED students, 46 percent are women and 54 percent are men. Thirteen percent of the ED admits are first-generation college students, and 11.5 percent are international students. American students of color, including multiethnic students, are 20 percent of the ED admits. Fifty-three percent are from outside of the New England area. Included in the ED admits are 169 student-athletes and 10 Posse Scholars from Chicago. Fifty-six percent of the admitted ED students will receive financial aid, which totals approximately $8 million during the 2020-2021 academic year.”
