2017-2018 University of North Carolina Essays
The 2017-2018 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill admissions essays have been released and we’ve got them for our readers. The alma mater of Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan will offer applicants to the university four essay prompts this coming admissions cycle. Of these four essay prompts, applicants will be required to answer two — in 200-250 words. So that means 250 words since students should use all of the real estate available to them in order to make their case.
So what are the University of North Carolina’s essay prompts for the 2017-2018 admissions cycle, you ask? Wonder no longer. They read as follows, according to the office of admissions at UNC: “(1) Tell us about a peer who has made a difference in your life. (2) What do you hope will change about the place where you live? (3) What is one thing that we don’t know about you that you want us to know? (4) What about your background, or what perspective, belief, or experience, will help you contribute to the education of your classmates at UNC?”
The answers to these essay prompts will not only play a role in the applicant’s case for admission to UNC, one of America’s most elite public universities, but these responses will also impact applicants’ merit-based scholarship aid awards. So does the UNC office of admissions care about how applicants respond to these essay prompts? You bet they do.
