Princeton University is the first Ivy League school this year to announce the day they’ll be notifying Regular Decision applicants for the Class of 2020 of their admissions decisions. In our experience, schools announce their notification dates when they’ve finished rendering decisions. And we have it on good authority that Princeton University has indeed finished rendering their decisions. So if you applied to Princeton this Regular Decision cycle (or if you were deferred at Princeton in the Early Action round), your fate has already been decided. You just haven’t yet been informed.
Some years, each of the eight Ivy League schools notify students on the same exact day. But in other years, they notify students all within a couple of days of one another. It really depends on the year and it depends on when each school has completed rendering their decisions. If you’re curious to see where Princeton has announced that it will render decisions (and when), it’s right on the Princeton admissions website. And the notification date is, unsurprisingly, March 31, 2016.
March 31, 2016 is decision day for Princeton. Princeton is the first Ivy this year to announce their admissions notification date.
We expect other Ivies will notify applicants on March 31st as well, though a couple might try to send out decisions a bit before this deadline. Of course, some of the Ivies have already sent out Likely Letters to students and we congratulate our students at Ivy Coach who have received these awesome letters…because it means they’re getting in!
