Former University of Pennsylvania Admissions Officer
Are you the parent of an 8th grader? Or maybe you’re the parent of a senior? In either case, of if your child happens to be in 9th, 10th, or 11th grades, we recommend Ivy Coach’s one-hour evaluation, which we offer with our own Jayson Weingarten, a former admissions officer at the University of Pennsylvania. Like Bev and Brian, Jayson too has a tell-it-like-it-is approach to highly selective college admissions and he’s not only learned the ins and outs of admissions within an Ivy League admissions office, he’s also learned how to beat the unfair system at an unfair game — fairly and ethically — from us at Ivy Coach.
A Profile of Ivy Coach’s Jayson Weingarten
If you’d like to learn more about Jayson, within the University of Pennsylvania’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Jayson rose through the ranks from Admissions Counselor to Regional Director of Admission to Assistant Director of Admission over the course of four years. Jayson cuts through the perceived complexity and simplifies the admissions process for students and families. Jayson has written for a number of blogs and publications on a variety of college admissions related topics, including this fun idea for an SAT question he proposed with Penn’s Dean of Admissions in The New York Times. Jayson holds an MBA from The Wharton School as well as a MSEd from the Graduate School of Education in addition to a Bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania.
