The Time is Now for Virtual Test Prep

At Ivy Coach, our SAT and ACT test prep is exclusively virtual. So too is our college counseling.

For many years, people write in to us at Ivy Coach and ask if they can meet with us to discuss their child’s case for admission. Maybe they’ll say they live nearby to our offices in Manhattan. Or maybe they say they’ll fly in from Dubai. In every instance, whether they live next-door on Manhattan’s Upper East Side or thousands of miles away, we tell them we meet with students and parents exclusively via FaceTime, Skype, and phone. We do not meet in person. We do not serve biscuits. And so as so many of us are homebound (or should be if you’re not!), we figured we’d take the time to remind our readers that Ivy Coach’s services — be it our college counseling or SAT/ACT/SAT Subject Test/AP tutoring is all conducted exclusively virtually.

Ivy Coach’s Test Prep Has Been Exclusively Virtual for Years

If school is out for the foreseeable future — as it is in many places across America and around the world — what better time to prep for the SAT or ACT? What better time to set up a one-hour college admissions evaluation? The SAT and ACT may not be offered until this summer — if not later (the May SAT administration was canceled today). It all depends if we can flatten the curve of COVID-19 but high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors should not waste this oh so valuable time and instead earmark these days and weeks to boosting their scores on these most important exams which they will — in time — take (likely in July or August).

Don’t Waste These Valuable Days in Isolation: Get a College Admissions Evaluation and/or Prep for SAT/ACT

There aren’t many good new series on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney+, and Apple TV right now. So instead of vegging on the couch watching four hours of The Today Show each day, we encourage high school students to take advantage of these days in isolation. Turn off the televisions. Turn off the phones. Do some SAT or ACT tutoring and/or set up Ivy Coach’s one-hour college admissions evaluation for 8th graders, 9th graders, 10th graders, and 11th graders to get you on the right track through the rest of high school. No matter when you come to Ivy Coach, there are always tons of mistakes that can still be corrected — although the earlier you come to us, the more mistakes we can correct.

If you’re interested in Ivy Coach’s tutoring — which we always conduct virtually anyway — and/or if you’re interested in setting up a free consultation to learn about Ivy Coach’s one-hour college admissions evaluation, fill out our free consultation form and we’ll be in touch within the day.
