Further Context on GPAs of Syracuse Students

So, for the Classes of 2027 and 2026, roughly 1/3rd of Syracuse admits graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA (whether this figure is inflated by Syracuse taking weighted GPA into consideration remains to be seen, but is certainly possible). This proportion was slightly lower for the Class of 2025. But there are plenty of other factors that go into a competitive Syracuse application, and as any admission officer would likely tell you, great grades ain’t all that when they come with a student who is as dull as a doorknob! 

Can I Get into Syracuse with a Low GPA?

Yes and no. It is indeed possible to get into Syracuse with a poor GPA. But is it probable? That’s a whole other story. While the above data do appear to indicate that students with lackluster grades (such as GPAs below 3.0) have at least some representation at Syracuse, that doesn’t mean such grades would help your case for admission!
