2. Justice Antonin Scalia

Continuing our saga of political power players who also called Georgetown their alma mater, Justice Antonin Scalia, one of the most influential Supreme Court Justices in modern history, studied history and graduated as class valedictorian in 1957. Known for his sharp legal mind and even sharper writing style, he left a lasting mark on American jurisprudence. During his time on campus, Scalia participated in the legendary Philodemic Society, an esteemed student debating society at Georgetown with roots stretching back to 1830.

3. Savannah Guthrie

Before she was the beloved co-anchor of NBC’s Today show, Savannah Guthrie studied law at Georgetown University Law Center. Entertainment, Sarnoff has blazed a trail for women in the film industry and corporate world alike. 6. Mary Jordan

Yet another Hoya you should have on your radar, but might not recognize off the bat, Mary Jordan is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. A graduate of Georgetown University, she went on to build a distinguished career at The Washington Post, where she covered everything from local politics to international affairs.
