Further Context on GPAs of Johns Hopkins University Students

So, roughly two-thirds of students who enrolled in Johns Hopkins’ Class of 2028 boasted perfect GPAs, while 62.53% of students in Johns Hopkins’ Class of 2027 did, and a whopping 66.27% of students in Johns Hopkins’ Class of 2026 graduated high school without a single blemish on their transcripts. For each of these cycles, almost all the remaining students in each class had GPAs in the 3.75-3.99 range. And that’s not even mentioning the countless students with perfect grades who weren’t admitted to this top research university.

Can I Get into Johns Hopkins University with a Low GPA?

While it’s certainly possible to get into Johns Hopkins with a low GPA, that doesn’t mean it’s likely. For the Class of 2028, only 2.86% of admitted students to Johns Hopkins had GPAs below 3.5, but in all likelihood, these weaker academic links fulfilled some other institutional need, such as being the children of major donors or public figures.
