We are deeply proud here at Ivy Coach to be in the service of America’s veterans. In fact, our pro bono services are reserved each year exclusively for the brave men and women who serve or have served in our armed forces — be it the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, or Coast Guard. These men and women have worn our nation’s uniform at great personal cost and their stories so often inspire and motivate us. Not all of the men and women with whom we’ve worked have served in direct combat in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. Some have served only on bases in America. Some have served in far-away places in our world where there are, thankfully, no conflicts. But no matter where in this world they’ve served America in uniform, they chose to do so — of their own volition. And we’re mighty thankful for their service and sacrifice.
We cannot work with every veteran as they navigate the highly selective college admissions process. We simply don’t have the resources to do so. We wish we could. But we do select a few veterans every year to help optimize their chances of admission to their dream schools. So, you might wonder: who do we select? The simple answer is that we choose the ones who are kind. We choose the ones who don’t expect us to help them but rather are appreciative that we give our time, energy, and expertise. Because these are the folks we most enjoy working with — people who appreciate us. The work is all the more satisfying with these men and women. If you think about it, it’s probably true of your line of work too…no matter what it may be.
So to America’s veterans, if you’re interested in Ivy Coach’s pro bono assistance as you navigate the highly selective college admissions process, we’re here for you. Even if we can’t take you on as a client this year, we will certainly offer you advice on what you can do to give yourself the best shot possible of admission to the best school to which you’re applying.
